Dear Kennett Laxers:
Thank you for supporting our summer clinics and USTC summer league. We appreciate all your positive feedback and excitement about our new youth lacrosse club! We have been working diligently on KAPRB Lacrosse’s first season and want to inform you of what we have planned for the fall.
-
USTC Fall League – Any boys with at least one year of lax experience interested in playing Fall Ball at USTC. Games are on Sunday afternoons. No practices! We need to register by September 1, 2010 and would like to field teams at the 5th& 6thgrade and 7th& 8thgrade levels. If your son is interested in participating, please contact Jeff Cordisco at
. More Information on the USTC Fall Ball League can be found at www.go2ustc.com.
-
Girls Lacrosse - KAPRB Girls Lacrosse for grades 2nd - 6th. We will host a girls skills and conditioning clinic in October - check the website for more information. Anyone interested in USTC SKILLS - please check the Lacrosse Evolution website www.laxevo.com.
-
Skills Programs - If your child is psyched to get on the field and new to the great game of lacrosse or an experienced player, both USTC and Lacrosse Evolution offer skills sessions throughout the fall. More Information can be found at www.go2ustc.com and www.lacrosseevolution.com.
-
After the Bell - KAPRB Lacrosse will also offer two sessions in the fall After the Bell program at Kennett Middle School. They will be offered on Thursday afternoons beginning on September 28th. The first session will be for students who are just learning to play the game and will be taught by Paul Petrick and John Shaw, experienced lax players and KMS parents. The second will be for experienced players and will teach advanced skills and increase lacrosse IQ. This class will be taught by Jim Powers, a KHS Lacrosse Assistant Coach and former Cornell lacrosse player. Look for more information when the After the Bell catalog comes home with your middle school student.
-
Fall Clinics - We are also in the process of planning some lacrosse clinics this fall including some on weekdays. More details to follow.
Volunteers – Our organizational structure has been established but Blue Demons Lax always welcomes more volunteers! Please visit the club website at www.bluedemonslax.org and click on the “organization” link to see if there is an area where you would like to help.
Coaching- Head coaches are lined up for the spring but welcome any individuals who would like to help out. Lacrosse experience is helpful but not necessary. Mark your calendar for November 7, 2010 for a Level 1 Coaching Clinic offered by US Lacrosse.
Dollars for Demons – With many one-time startup expenses we need your help! Many people are asking “How can I help out the club?” We have created our “Dollars for Demons” program which is an easy way for anyone interested in making a contribution to support our new program. Just go to www.bluedemonslax.com and click on “DOLLARS FOR DEMONS”. We are a part of KAPRB , a 501(c)(3) tax exempt entity, so your donations are tax deductible. Every dollar we raise through Dollars for Demons is a dollar towards keeping registration fees low. Please consider donating any amount you can. No donation is too small!
Thanks for the strong outpouring of support! Keep the excitement going – spread the word!
Let us know if you have any questions or suggestions. We welcome them all.
Sincerely,
KAPRB Lacrosse Committee - Blue Demons Lax
